Sometimes.....An opportunity comes along that is just too good to pass up. In this case LBYC learned that the local chapter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Mohave County was looking for a Fall activity. It wasn't long after that the Yacht Club invited all the "Bigs and Littles" to a picnic at Rotary Park, followed by boat rides on the lake for all those who were interested. Of course, Melissa Etheridge and her crew brought along their own activities and it wasn't long before a treasure hunt was underway. Prior to the outing on the lake, Yacht Club personnel gave a boating safety test to all the kids and their sponsors, with appropriate prizes donated by local businesses. At the end of the day, it was time well spent for a most deserving group in Lake Havasu City. We were glad we could brighten their day! Below are a few pictures from the event.
