The Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race, sponsored by the Newport Ocean Sailing Association (NOSA) is now in its 60th year and is a West Coast tradition. In any given year there can be 600 to more than 900 boats entered in the race with several separate classes. London Bridge Yacht Club sailors have competed in the race for several years, even before the yacht club was established, but 2006 was the first year our sailors could enter under our Club Burgee. The Maxwell's "Bag of Tricks" finished third in their class, earning them a NOSA trophy as well as LBYC's Flying Spinnaker Trophy. The Schulte's "Molly Anna" finished a respectable 13th out of 23 in their class.

The pictures below depict a little about the race, but to get the true feeling of the race, you just have to be there.
