Commodore chairs the Parade Committee for the City's 35th Annual London
Bridge Days Parade. |
 | October 25, 2006 - A banner day in the history of
the Yacht Club as the Club's Commissioning Crew launches our new clubhouse,
a specially modified 52' houseboat, and sails it through Bridgewater Channel
to it's new home at the end of Pier "P" in the Lake Havasu Marina. |
 | June 25, 2006 - The Journey of Hope, 35 members
of the National Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity who ride bicycles cross-country
along the Western route to
raise handicap awareness, stopped over in Lake Havasu and the Yacht Club
hosted them for an afternoon of boat rides and activities on our lake. |
 | June 3, 2006 - The Yacht Club becomes a member of
the Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA), exactly one year to the
day after formation of the Club. SCYA's designation for the London Bridge
Yacht Club is LonBYC. |
 | March 4, 2006 - LBYC celebrated it's first
Opening Day with a gala boat parade and a dinner and dance, complete with
live auction, to benefit Lake Havasu City Special Olympics. The following
week, a $9,000 donation check was presented to Special Olympics. |
 | December 31, 2005 - LBYC finished their inaugural
year with 67 memberships and 122 Charter Members. |
 | September 25, 2005 - The Yacht Club hosted Big
Brothers/Big Sisters of Mohave County in Rotary Park and on the lake for a
cookout, scavenger hunt, and boat rides to various lake locations. |
 | June 26, 2005 - LBYC played host to Journey of
Hope bicycle riders who made a stop in Lake Havasu City on their
cross-country journey from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. Yacht Club
skippers treated the riders to an afternoon on the lake during their brief
stopover in our city. |
 | June 3, 2005 - The London Bridge Yacht Club was
officially established as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the
State of Arizona. |
